Description

First Time Displacement Battery has a new mission: re-deploy the Time Twister from the outlands of the Alliance to the very heart of Uman space, to protect the critical world known as Keaton’s World. The hated enemy Coethi are expected to make a move into this system soon and Time Guard wants to be ready.
But twenty kilometers beneath a moon orbiting K-World, a two-million-year old derelict alien ship is discovered, with the remains of a human being onboard. How did it get there? Captain Monthan Dringoth is given the mission of helping answer this question. Is the ship Coethi, from long ago? Did the Coethi come to old Urth thousands of years ago and take a human hostage? On their recon of the Hollows, the upper rock strata of K-World’s moon Gibbons’ Grotto, 1st TD discovers something else: a crack in spacetime, known as an Evans-Klein Fissure. Worse, the Vice-Chief of Time Guard begins acting a little strange when the fissure is discovered.
Before long, 1st TD’s mission becomes one of survival, for the Coethi have been using this fissure to infiltrate the K-World system for centuries and now have placed a spy/saboteur at the highest levels of Time Guard itself. It soon becomes apparent that 1st TD can trust no one but themselves in unraveling this mystery.
The race is on to seal this fissure before the Coethi can completely overwhelm Uman defenses in this sector. But in trying to fend off the onslaught of the Bugs, 1st TD may have to turn its most fearsome weapon…on itself.
Second episode in the Time Jumpers serial.
